Finland creates history, makes BroadBand a legal right
Finally a news to remember. Finland’s Ministry of Transport and Communications has made 1-megabit broadband Web access a legal right, YLE, the country’s national broadcasting company, .
Woah, this is HISTORIC. indeed. Wednesday, Finland’s registered herself in the list of a few first countries to make access to BROADBAND a legal human right. Due to excessive push by to make Internet as a human right, this is surely is a historic moment for the whole generation and THE WORLD needs.
In some countries such as Estonia , France and Greece, Internet access has already been made a human right.
Starting in July, telecommunication companies in the northern European nation will be required to provide all 5.2 million citizens with Internet connection that runs at speeds of at least 1 megabit per second.
“The one-megabit mandate, however, is simply an intermediary step, said Laura Vilkkonen, the legislative counselor for the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Just more than a year ago, Finland said it would make a 100Mb broadband connection a legal right by the end of 2015.
Well, it surely is an impressive step taken to counter-attack the third world needs.
And i hope, this step of FINLAND’s and other countries may inspire each and every other country in this beautiful world to have every single of her citizen have access to INTERNET as his/her legal right.
